Cultural Intelligence

Cultural Intelligence is a skill that allows an individual to easily adapt and effectively work in culturally diverse situations. It goes far beyond the the knowledge of cultural sensitivity and awareness.  In fact, cultural intelligent individuals are not only aware of cultural differences, but they are able to pick up on the emotions, wants and needs of others.

People with cultural intellingence are attuned to the values, beliefs and styles of communication of people from different countries. They use this knowledge to relate with others with empathy and understanding.

“Cultural Intelligence: an outsider’s seemingly natural ability to interpret someone’s unfamiliar and ambiguous gestures the way that person’s compatriots would”.
